The Indian cricket board that is BCCI, divides the player into 4 categories which are called grade. The salary is given according to their categories. So the salary of cricketers in India varies from grade to grade. BCCI allocate some fixed amount of money for a particular grade. These 4 types of grades are as follows.

1. Salary of A+ Grade Cricketers in India and their Names

This is the highest grade in the Indian cricket team that is given by BCCI. BCCI picks the most valuable players of the team and put them in the grade A+ category. There are only 3 cricketers in the Indian cricket team who are placed in A+ grade. These 3 Indian cricketers are:-

Salary of A+ grade Cricketers in India

Players who are in A+ grade according to the latest contract released by BCCI receives 7 Crores per year. That means Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumraha gets 7 crores annually by BCCI.

2. Salary of A-Grade Cricketers in India and their Names

This is the 2nd highest grade that is given by BCCI in their annual contract list. The cricketers they pick are very important for team India and perform well in the recent future. There are many cricketers of the Indian cricket team are placed in this grade and their names are given below.

3. Salary of B-Grade Cricketers in India and their Names

This is the third grade provided by BCCI and it is known as Grade B. There are not many players in this grade. There are only 5 cricketers of the Indian cricket team who make their place in this grade. The name of the Indian Cricketers is as follows.

Salary of B-grade Cricketers in India

4. Salary of C-Grade Cricketers in India and their Names

This is the last list of cricketers of the Indian Cricket team who are in C grade. This is the last grade of the BCCI annual contract. There are 8 players are in Grade C according to the latest contract and out of 8 players, 5 players are new players. The list of Grade C players is given below.

Salary of B-grade Cricketers in India

The list of players of Grade C as per the latest contract given by BCCI receives 1 crore of salary annually. 


Important Note

Apart from the annual contract salary players also receives salary per match and it is known as the match fee. There are different amount of match fee varies from cricket format to format. That means the match fee is different for Test Matches, One-day Matches, and the T20 Matches.

The amount of match fee that is provided to players according to the different cricket format is given below. 

Match Fee of Cricketers

  1. For Test match Per match fee - 15 Lacks
  2. For One day match per match Fee - 6 Lacks
  3. For T20 Match per match fee - 3 lakhs

Players who performed well in the matches also receive an extra amount of money from BCCI.

  • Players who score a century in ODI or in Test matches receive 5 lakhs as a bonus.
  • Players who take 5 wickets in a match receives 5 lakhs rupee as a bonus.
  • Players who score a double century receives 7 lakhs rupee as a bonus

A player may get a 30-60% hike in his salary if the score a half-century or century against a top-ranked team in a crucial match.

BCCI also Provides Pension on the retirement of the cricketers.
