Today we all are gathered here to celebrate Christmas. Every year Christmas is celebrated on December 25. It is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ. It is one of the most important days for Christians. But apart from Christians, people from other religions also celebrated this Christmas.
Jesus is also called as "The son of God". He is also referred to as 'Jesus of Nazareth'. His mother's name was Mary and his Father's name was Joseph. Christians believed before their marriage, an angel named Gabriel was sent to Mary and said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary for you have found favor with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus".
There is a special prayer at church in the evening of this occasion till twelve. Traditional plum cakes and wine are the special treats on Christmas.
Christmas is celebrated in every country with great joy and happiness. This festival is celebrated with family and friends to spread love. On this day everyone comes together and sings, dances, and eats.
